2001 | Ponleu means "light" in khmer. Supervised the design and group exhibition of a line fixtures made in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, inthe Galerie du Centre Culturel Français. The line was launched commercially in February 2001. Taught and headed a design team of ten students at the Royal College of Fine Arts in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. The project entailed the local design and production of twenty-five models of light fixtures.The goal was to promote design initiatives in Cambodia through the inspiring, creative theme of light. Production and sale of these items continued beyond the exhibition-sale that completed the mission, and today some of the students are pursuing their design work in Cambodia. Twenty-five models of table, wall, and hanging lamps. The initial exhibition-sale included three hundred individual items in wood, bamboo, metal, glass, coconut, plastic.
